| So i picked up this strut bar with a bunch of other parts a while back. The PO had removed his hood insulation and cut a piece of the hood support brace out to run it (it's too tall). I think they do this to clear the fuel lines and throttle cover. I don't want to do either, so i thought about modifying it. If i bring the bar down 1.5" by drilling new holes in the mounting brackets and keep the center throttle cover off like Carbing/Powertrix does, it would clear the hood/insulation. I'm also thinking it may even work better as the lower center of gravity (from being lower in the bracket) would make it even more stiff/effective? Only thing i would have to do is modify the stock fuel lines as they're in the way (right under the bar). What do you guys think? Is it worth the trouble?
